“Art is a calling. It’s something you do because you have to. Artists are shamans, the priests and priestesses, the magicians of society. Only a few make a living from their art. If you have this calling, you will continue… Enjoy life, live it to the fullest – whatever that may mean for you. There is something wrong when the making of art destroys the texture of your life. Don’t let that happen to you… Recognize that there is something wrong with the society (the “art world” as it is today) and don’t lose your energy to it.” - Audrey Flack

There are those who are great admirers of beauty. Then there are those who endeavor to go forward and create it in the name of art. In her humble way, Jade Sheldon desires to reflect the beauty she sees in the world. A journey through Jade’s images are both a personal and inspirational stroll through the eyes and thoughts of a true born artist.

Jade Sheldon is an illustrator who works out of her studio in Portland, Oregon. She received her BFA in Illustration from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2009.
